Once you have scheduled your time you should receive a reminder about an hour prior to the start time. If you are among a group of authors, collaborate with the group, determine the best time frame, and schedule 1 time for the entire group. The time you choose represents your ‘Live Recording Time’. With that being said, here are your tips for preparation: Please keep in mind that the goal of these tips is to help your presentation represent your business entity in the absolute best possible light.
Share & 'Like' the information about your episode as it is posted. Although all episodes are aired on the social media pages, they will also be available on TOSEIMA JTV on the ROKU platform.
FOR SHOW TAPING: Set your timer to arrive 3-minutes prior to your scheduled showtime for mic tests and video test. No duplicate times can be scheduled. When the time arrives for your scheduled taping, use the link within your email to enter the show filming page.
Remember to smile – your joy can change a life.
Speak from your heart and be genuine. Be yourself.
Wear a solid color, have your background least distracting, EXCELLENT lighting, and look your best – the goal is for people to focus on you and not the background, etc. Place your book, album, etc. in the video shot so that people can see your work.
Market your business within your responses as much as possible. You will have roughly about 10 minutes of talk time so use those minutes with wisdom. Think of your interview as a 'news segment'.
Take every ounce of nervousness and convert that energy into power, authority, and purpose because you were chosen for a time such as this.
Before the broadcast Make sure you have the following: · A laptop or desktop with a webcam and mic. · A recent version of Chrome or Firefox. · A strong internet connection. Just like Skype, you must have a strong internet connection for it to work well. · We recommend wearing earbuds or headphones to prevent audio echoes. If you don’t have a laptop or desktop, then you can join on your phone. But the experience is usually best on a laptop/desktop. On Android, we recommend the Chrome browser. On iOS, you must use Safari. If you're on iOS 14.2, we recommend updating your device before joining. iOS 14.2 has some issues with audio stuttering. Joining the broadcast When the time comes, (3 minutes prior to your interview time) follow these steps to enter the broadcast studio: 1. The host should provide you with a link before the show. Click the link and you’ll be taken to their broadcast studio. 2. Allow the interview software to access your camera and mic. 3. Make sure you have the correct camera and mic selected. 4. Enter a display name. Use your actual name or the name of your brand. Then enter the studio. The host will be informed that you’ve arrived. You won’t be part of the broadcast until the host decides to add you in. The page will update to let you know when you’ve been added. Then everyone will be able to see and hear you. This is your time to shine! Remember, the host asked you to join because they want to hear what you have to say. Have fun!
